Five Pairs
 
George Burrows entered his first mark as a smallworker, on the 14th December 1769. His son also George who started his apprenticeship with a George Smith (Goldsmith) and was turned over to his father on the 7th May 1783,George Burrows the first was believed dead by 1801 when George Burrows 11 entered a mark with his an Alice Burrows , believed to be his mother. 

 
This pair are of an attractive design, they are unusual because of the Bowls,
 
 
 
 
This pair have an attractive double thread on the Bow, they are also only 4.5 inches long
 
 
 
 
This pair have a very attractive engraved Bow, which is quite narrow in comparison with other Cast Tongs.
 
 
 
 
This pair have the unusual shaped Bowls, in some ways they seem unbalanced,they also have an engraving on the Bow which is right for the period,and l think makes them more attractive.see here
