George Smith ll First mark entered as a smallworker (undated) before 7th August 1758, he had a lot of marks entered over the following years and ended up in partner ship with Thomas Hayter  on the 7th January 1792
 
This pair of Tongs are very attractive with quite delicate cast work including flowers on the legs, the Bow is nicely engraved with Adam style flowers and leaves
